July 18th the Sounders play Chelsea in a friendly match at Qwest Field. An unprecedented crowd of 67000 cheering Futbol fans will be on hand in Seattle during one of the cities busiest annual weekend events “The Bite of Seattle” which brings 400K+ in to the city.
Prepare now for traffic by looking in to the Seattle Light Rail and maybe even look at getting a Hotel the day before the match.
The Sounder has a special schedule for the Chelsea vs. Sounders match.

“Don’t be late for the game! Large crowds will likely be boarding Link light rail during opening weekend. Opening weekend is a major event and besides the start of Link and the Sounder’s game, there will also be about 450,000 people at the Bite of Seattle. Fortunately, Seattle’s King Street Station is just a short walk to the Sounder Game at Qwest Field.”
